FOOTAGE EMERGED LATE last night which appeared to show Chelsea fans preventing a black man from boarding a tram in Paris.
In the footage, the man repeatedly attempts to board the Metro but is blocked – apparently by supporters of the London club – while a number of them can be heard singing:
“We’re racist, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it.”

Another voice can be heard singing the club’s name over and over.
Paul Nolan, who filmed the footage on his phone, told the newspaper he was appalled by what he saw and suggested the man was unaware he was dealing with a group of Chelsea supporters.
“There definitely was a culture shock. I heard a couple of French guys saying: ‘I can’t believe this. It’s insane’.”
A spokesperson for Chelsea told the BBC that the behaviour of the fans had “no place in football or society.
“Should evidence point to the involvement of Chelsea season ticket holders or members the club, we will take the strongest possible action against them including banning orders.”
One Irish TD responded to the video with an interesting suggestion this morning:
To satisfy/punish their fans, Chelsea should play out the rest of the season with only white English players. (Do they have 11 of them?)
